My Greek Coin-legend Dictionary
Sub-divided

This is a GreekSpeak list with a subdivision :

- Personal Names
- Title's
- (Some) Words as you may find on Greek Provincial's

I do not practice Greekspeak (alas), which means to say : I did my best ... Furthermore on this list wherever you see, for example, ANT(ΩNIENOC) this means that there are 2 ways of having it on your coin : as ANT and as ANTΩNIENOC. The brackets show you where the abbrev(iation) is.

Also please note that in Greek (as far as my limited knowledge on Greek Provincials goes) C and Σ are interchangeable, as are V and Y, meaning that ANTΩNIENOC and ANTΩNIENOΣ are one and the same word. This means that I only use C instead of Σ and Y instead of V !
Also TO, TΩ and Tω are interchangeable as in ANTΩN(E)INOC / ANTωN(E)INOC, in which case you will have to use your imagination.

This list is a sort of Greek dictionary helping you to determine your Greek/Roman Provincial. If you need issuing city names names go here (greek alph. sorted) or here (latin alph. sorted)
