Bronze Cententionalis - Æ 23-24 mm - 5 grams - Die axis 06:00 - RIC VIII (Thessalonica) 123 - Struck AD 347-348.
1. DN CONSTAN-[TIVS] P[F AUG] (Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord C. the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor facing right. Above the left shoulder of the emperor an elongated 'A' and two dots can be seen (Makers mark ?).
2. FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO (Felicium Temporum Reparatio - Restoration of Blessed Times).
Standing soldier (middle) ready to spear a fallen small barbarian horseman (bottom) who is pleading for his life or warding of the spear while his horse is lying behind him. The barbarian has lost his shield (on the ground, right). Left of the Roman soldier an ‘A’ can be seen.
2.b ‘TSЄ’ (?), TS = Thessalonica (Salonika, Greece); Є = 5th Officina. This mint was 'in business' after 298.

Bronze Cententionalis - Æ 19 mm - 5 grams - Die axis 05:00 - RIC VIII (Heraclea) 86 - Struck AD 351-355.
1. DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AUG (Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord C the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Double pearly diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor facing right. Above the left shoulder of the emperor a big Δ can be be seen (Makers mark ?).
2. FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO (Felicium Temporum Reparatio - Restoration of Blessed Times).
Soldier stands (at right) ready to spear a barbarian horseman still on his horse while turning round to ward of the blow. The barbarian has lost his shield (middle bottom) and his horse is collapsing or has just done that. The roman soldier is bigger than the barbarian and horse combined.
2.b 'SMHA' : SM = Sacra Moneta (Imperial Money), H = Heraclea (Ergeli, Turkey), A is the 1st Officina.
Marks the 1100th anniversary of the founding of Rome. This coin has possibly been ‘cut’ a full 2 or 3 mm (compared to the other ‘Fel Temp’). Because of this the legend is difficult to read.

1. DN CONSTAN-[TIVS PF AUG] (Dominus Noster Constantius Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord C. the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Double pearly diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor facing right. Above the left shoulder of the emperor a 'Δ' can be seen (Officina / Makers mark ?).
2. [FEL TEMP RE-PA]RATIO (Felicium Temporum Reparatio - Restoration of Blessed Times).
Soldier stands (at right) ready to spear a barbarian horseman (left) still on his horse while in flight (!) or while his horse is collapsing under him. The barbarian has lost his shield (middle bottom). The roman soldier is bigger than the barbarian and horse combined.
2.b 'SMHB' : SM = Sacra Moneta (Imperial Money), H = Heraclea (Ergeli, Turkey), B is the 2nd Officina.
Obv. : Worn - Rev. : Worn.
Hole at 16:00. About 2mm has been cut of the rim. Coin is remarkably thick.
