On the north side of the Gulf of Smyrna, opposite Clazomenae, was founded 352 BC by the Persian admiral Tachos. It soon afterwards fell into the hands of the Clazomenians, to whose influence the Swan type bears witness. Next to cityname there should also be a magistrate-name on the coin. Magistrates known are MHTPOΔ - ΔIONYΣIOΣ - ΠPOMAKOΣA - ΛOKPOΣ - HPAKΛEIΔHΣ. Mine is of too bad quality however to discern one.
Minted in Leukai (Leucae), Ionia. .
Obv. : Good - Rev. : Worn and pitted.
