[I]MP CAES DIVI TRA PA[RTH F DIVI NER NEP TRAIANO HADRIANO AVG] (Imperator Caesar Divi Trajanus Parthicus Filius Divi Nerva Nepos Traiano Hadriano Augustus - Imperator Caesar Son of the Deified Trajanus, Victor of the Parthans, Grandson of the deified Nerva Trajanus, Hadrianus Augustus). Emperor facing right, laureate, draped & cuirassed.
2. [P]ONT MA-X TR [POT COS II] (Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestas Consulares Tertius - Highest Priest, Holder of the Tribunician Power, Consul for the 2nd Time). Three army standards : f.l.t.r. first one is topped with a hand, second is an Aquila, third is laureate topped.
2.b [SC] : Senatus Consulto - By decree of the Senate.
The army standards either point at victory or successful retrieveal.
COS II and not COS III since the DIVI TRA on obverse ended before Hadrian’s third consulship. Either RIC 546(a) if bust laureate, draped, cuirassed r. Or RIC 546(b) if bust laureate, cuirassed r., drapery over l. shoulder. Hadrianus was COS II in AD 118.
