Bronze Antoninianus - Æ 20 mm - 5 grams - Die axis 06:00 - RIC 372 - Struck AD 283-284.
1. NVMERIANVS NOB CAES (Numerianus Noblissimus (the Noble) Caesar).
Radiate bust of Caesar, draped, facing right.
2. CLEMENTIA • TEMP (Clementia Temporum - Merciful Times).
Emperor standing at left, cuirassed and with Paludamentum and sceptre. Receiving the statue of victory on globe with right arm. Jupiter, naked but with cape, at right, facing inward, holding staff with left arm.
2.b XXI : probably standing for the coin being silvered for 1/20-th of it’s weight.
This obverse legend only occurs at the mint of Cyzicus. Mintmark is A, B, Γ, Δ, E or S (between figures)can't tell which. XXI in exergue.
