Youthful male head. Possibly Apollo, possibly the (symbolization or real representation of the) founder (Ktistęs) of Nicopolis. Then again it may be the Ktisis (foundress). |

This type of coin is called a 'pseudo-autonomous'. About dating nothing much can be said. They are called so since there is no emperor on obverse. Not much is known about them. Probably minted during the Antoninus Pius - Septimus Severus period. Maybe a sort of 'informally struck' coin, as in : before the granting of minting rights, or struck during periods that minting official coins was difficult (during inraids or civil war).
