Severus Alexander Tyche, Eagle & Rivergod
Bronze - Æ 25 mm – 10,7 grams - Die axis 12:00.
1. A[Λ]HΣΣ-[A]NΔ ANT MA ... (Alexand(ros), Ant. Ma. – Alexander, A.M.).
Draped bust of young laureate emperor facing left.
2. PHCAIII(=IN)HCIω-N LE••• (Resainesion Le(g)III – Rhesaena Legio III Parthica).
Officially ‘turreted Tyche sitting on rock holding eagle. What we see is a comic strip style head on top of a large sort of triangle. At her left is an eagle perched on her outheld hand. At 07:-08: her chiton billows from under her. River god at her feet, diagonally at bottom right. De Practica a reasonably incomprehensible drawing.

Provincially minted in Rhesanea, Mespotamia.
Obv. : OK, but seems safetycoated - Rev. : OK.
