1. [IMP C M AVR CL] QVINTILLVS AV[G] (Imperator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Claudius Quintillus).
Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of bearded emperor facing right.
2. VIRTVS AVG (Virtus Augustus - Virtue / Bravery of the Augustus).
Virtus, clothed, standing full front facing left. Holding spear with left arm, and holding rather large shield with right arm at his left.
2.b Officinamark at hip height to the right of Virtus. Looks like a mirror'd C but is in fact a B, for Rome's 2nd Officina.
Quintillus' emissions from the Rome mint are all one emission where the 12 officina's had the same Obverse but each officina did a different Reverse. The Reverses are the same as in Claudius II last emission (www.cgb.fr). RIC 35, Cunetio 2321, Normanby 1149. Minted in Rome.
