Tacitus reigned from 11/12/ 275 to 07/276, after being elected during an interregnum of
probably 2 months and lengthy talks between senate and army. Left Rome in 276 to fight
the Goths who had invaded Asia Minor, to be murdered in Tyana, Cappadocia.
His obverse coinage from Ticunum invariably had the same legend, having six Officina at this
time. It’s series 2 had extremely realistic portraiture. At throne assumption coins always
started with 'best guess' portraits moving through time towards extremely accurate ones.
Uber(i)tas is generally thought to be the goddess of fertility, Wiki says Prosperity. That last seems to fit better, anyway. My wordbook says : Fruitfulness, Fertility; Abundance, Plenty. Mint probably Rome.
Obv. : Good - Rev. : Good, but flattish.
