Bronze Æ 4 - Æ 13 mm - 3 grams - Die axis 06:00 - RIC IX (Constantinople) 86(b) - Struck AD 388-392.
1. D[N THEO]DO-SIVS PF AVG (Dominus Noster Theodosius Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord Th. the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Double pearly diademed, draped and cuirassed emperor facing right.
2. SALVS RE(I)PVBLICAE (Salus Rei Publicae – Health / Prosperity of the State).
Salus, draped, marching leftwards. Captive dragged by the head with left hand. Left of Salus a sort of cross with a horizontal stripe above it, probably pretending to be a chi-rho.

Bronze Æ 4 - Æ 14 mm - 3 grams - Die axis 12:00 - RIC IX (Cyzicus) 26(b)/30(1) - Struck AD 388-395.
1. DN THEODO-SIVS PF AVG (Dominus Noster Theodosius Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord Th. the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Double pearly diademed draped and cuirassed emperor facing right.
2. SALVS [REI]PVBLICAE (Salus Rei Publicae – Health / Prosperity of the State).
Salus, draped, marching leftwards head turned back. Dragging captive barbarian on knees, held by the hair of his head, in salus' left hand. Note that the captive barbarian is practically skeletal. Salus' wings give the impression as being lightning flashing from the sky. Under upheld right arm the Chi-Rho sign is clearly distinguishable.
