1. DN [VALENTINIANVS] PF AVG (Dominus Noster Valentinianus Pius Felix Augustus - Our Lord V. the Pious and Blessed Augustus). Bust of double pearly diademed draped emperor facing right.
2. SALVS REI-PVBLICAE (Salus Rei Publicae – Health / Prosperity of the State).
Salus, draped, with captive marching towards the left upholding sword with right arm. Captive held by the head on knees being dragged (bending forward) with her left hand. Left of Salus a cross with a horizontal stripe above it. Probably trying to be a Chi-Rho.
2.b 'SMNB' : SM = Sacra Moneta (Imperial Money), N = Nicomedia, B = 2nd officina.
Obv. : Good, dirt on face of emperor - Rev. : Good but worn.
