Copper Kreutzer - Æ 23 mm - 5 grams - Flipside same way up - Struck in 1815.
1. 1 KREUTZER
Simple unadorned side with in the hart the text and along the upper rim ‘LAND = MÜNZ’ (State coin). Along the bottom it says ‘181.’ with probably a vague ‘5’ (making 1815).
2. G:HERTZ - BADEN (Gross Herzogtum Baden - Grand Duchy Baden).
Crowned coat of arms with ‘bastard’-line from lower left to upper right. Upper (left) half is simply striped. Lower (right) half has a standing and clawing lion facing rightwards, tongue out of its mouth. At coin rim, left hand side stands ‘G:HERTZ:’ and at right hand side ‘BADEN‘.
