More iron and bronze stuff. Left, front, a clasp. Left, back, a few Bullae. The most patinated one at back is still closed. Bullae were probably carried by young men around their necks. The Bullae were usually filled with earth (from the place of birth ?). Sometimes a little puppet can be found inside. In the middle pieces of a lock. At right, front, keys from a smitheys cache found in Metz, France. At right, back, in the small glasses some of my lesser Roman coins. More can be found at my coins 'Show Off' pages. |
