Kerkrade, NL

At left two pieces of roofing tile given to me by one of the archeologists at the site of a Roman Villa unearthed at Kerkrade in the utter south of the Netherlands. The left part is the typical flat tile. The other part is the round tile used to close off two joining flat tiles.
At right a Gallo-Roman table jug usable for olive oil, wine etc (not related to the Kerkrade dig).
