The Island of Santorini is small and can easily be driven around in a day. That is, without seeing all the sights. These sights vary between the touristic (villages filled with small streets and tourists), nature (beautiful views of the caldera, the volcano etc.) and the old (ancient thera, archeological museum). It is very touristy and here and there more upmarket. Prices are higher than in Rhodes. The island needs its revenue from its spectacular views and form. It was already called 'Calliste' (Most Beautiful) in antiquity. Deservedly.
